Thank you for visiting our Celebration Page for the Stroke Association.

Our special day is made so much more special by the fact that our nearest and dearest friends and family are there to share it with us. Unfortunately, not everyone will be present in person though.

John Allaway was a kind, caring and joyful man, who warmed the hearts of those he met with his sense of humour and of course his famous laugh. As an Uncle, he is someone we sorely miss since he passed away in November 2015, but as a person he is someone we are proud of and continue to learn from - how he always saw the bright side of life, and loved nothing more than being around people and laughing. We will always follow John's example, and carry that joy with us into our married life together.

When planning our big day and what we would spend money on, Sam had the idea of giving money to charity instead of spending it on small decorations such as favours. When we thought about a cause close to our hearts, John's memory came straight to mind. We are so pleased to be able to setup this Celebration Page in John's memory, and happily make our own donation. It is our hope that on the day of our wedding, our guests will be able to contribute in any small way they can, and any future fundraising we do will also be put towards this fund, to give John the legacy that he deserves.
